Those cars were never offered here in US America, and I never understood why. Probably that the retro looks could not be reconciled with our bumper requirements at the time.

True that little chrome bumper is like 1969, but its probably covering a more modern structure underneath. I remember they were a limited run or something and Nissan sold them all quick. It only had three colors, I like the toothpaste blue. I go to Japan at least once a year, I would love to get one and make it my commuter, I have a 94 Accord for that now, hitting 155K, I'm sure it will keep going forever. I'm told Paos are still popular, I see them all the time. There is that other one thats sort of like a classic Mini, maybe a Nissan kei too. But its not as cool as the Pao, its like a military compact car from a manga.
